Benjamin Lehman is an award-winning creative director, designer, photographer, and digital pioneer whose work has helped shape the evolution of modern digital design for more than three decades. Since founding one of the world’s first all-digital design agencies in 1995, Benjamin has built a career around identifying emerging technologies in their earliest stages and discovering practical commercial applications for them years before they reached mainstream adoption.

At a time when most design studios still relied on film, paste-up, and traditional production methods, Benjamin established a studio dedicated entirely to digital workflows, helping define many of the production processes that are now commonplace throughout the creative industry. As one of the earliest designers working on the commercial web, he pioneered the integration of professional visual design into first-generation websites, bringing established brand identities online when websites were still largely functional rather than experiential.

Recognizing the potential of FutureSplash and later Macromedia Flash long before broadband Internet became commonplace, Benjamin pioneered commercial motion graphics for the web, creating a new visual language for online storytelling that became the foundation for much of modern motion graphics. He also developed one of the world’s first streaming video platforms, launching it six years before YouTube introduced online video to a mainstream audience.

Beyond commercial innovation, Benjamin co-founded a nonprofit organization that pioneered streaming music therapy for military veterans living with PTSD and other physical and psychological challenges. The remote treatment model developed through that work was later adopted as the standard for clinical telehealth practices, including implementation within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Today, Benjamin serves as Creative Director at Benchmark Productions and founder of Emotiv Design, where he continues to lead creative initiatives for Fortune 500 technology companies, professional sports organizations, and national and international brands. His work spans experiential design, environmental storytelling, motion graphics, photography, interactive media, and live entertainment, guided by his philosophy of Narrative Architecture – the intentional design of relationships between brand, human behavior, physical environments, and digital systems to create cohesive, meaningful experiences.

Outside of his commercial work, Benjamin is an outdoor photographer, writer, and conservation advocate whose work explores the intersection of landscape, ecology, history, and storytelling. Whether designing immersive experiences for global brands or documenting quiet trails in the forests of Ohio, he remains driven by the same principle that has defined his career: recognizing meaningful opportunities before they become obvious and finding new ways to tell stories through technology, design, and the human experience.
